Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-07-03
This policy explains what data YHVPN (operated by Yuanhang Network Technology) collects, what we deliberately do not collect, and how we use and retain what we have. We aim to collect the minimum needed to run a reliable VPN service, and to describe it honestly.
What we collect
• Account data: a username and a password. Passwords are stored in hashed form. We do not ask for an email address, phone number, or real name at signup.
• Connection metadata and traffic volume: we retain minimal connection metadata and per-account traffic-volume totals (bytes used). We use these for operations, capacity planning, enforcing plan quotas, and preventing abuse.
• Device records: to enforce per-account device limits we keep a record of each device (device model or label, a masked IP address, and last-seen time). You can view these devices in the app and revoke them at any time.
• Payment records: payments are processed by third-party payment gateways (such as Alipay and WeChat Pay via a payment provider). We receive order and transaction records — plan, amount, timestamps, and the gateway's order reference — but never your card numbers or wallet credentials. Order records are retained as required for accounting and legal compliance.
• Support and diagnostics (optional): if you open a support ticket, we receive the text you write and any screenshots or diagnostic bundles you choose to attach. If the app crashes, an automatic crash report containing technical stack traces may be sent; crash reports contain no browsing content.
• Referral and credits: if you use referral codes or earn credits, we keep the referral relationship and a credit ledger so balances and rewards can be applied correctly.
What we do not collect
• We do not log your browsing history.
• We do not log or inspect the content of your traffic.
• We do not log your DNS queries.
• We do not collect your email address, phone number, or real name.
We do not claim to collect nothing — the operational data listed above is real — but activity inside the tunnel is not recorded.
How we use data
We use the data above to operate the VPN service: authenticate your account, connect you to our servers, enforce plan quotas and device limits, plan capacity, prevent abuse, process payments, and answer support requests.
User data is used only to provide and improve the VPN service. We will never sell, use, or disclose user data to third parties for any other purpose.
Retention
Connection metadata and traffic-volume totals are retained only for a limited operational period and then deleted or aggregated.
Order and transaction records are retained for the period required by applicable accounting and tax law.
Device records are kept while the device remains registered to your account; revoking a device removes it from your device list.
Support tickets and crash reports are kept as long as needed to resolve the issue and improve the service.
Your rights
You can see and manage your account data — including your registered devices and traffic usage — from within the app.
You can request deletion of your account at any time. Deletion anonymizes your account, revokes all devices and sessions, and removes your VPN credentials. Anonymized order and ticket records are retained where accounting or legal obligations require it. See our Account Deletion page for details.
Children
Our service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact support and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top and publish the new version here. Material changes will be announced in the app.
Contact
For any privacy question or request, open a support ticket in the app or on our website. Because accounts have no email attached, the support ticket system is the reliable way to reach us and for us to verify you.
